Marist College Freshmen, studying abroad in Dublin, traveled to London earlier this month to attend the Foundation for International Education鈥檚 (FIE) Student Global Leadership Conference (SGLC), an event providing a unique opportunity for students and delegates from across the world to explore how they can become better leaders.

Aliza Taylor 鈥�23, a student in Dr. Marina Melita鈥檚 Advanced Italian course spent a semester collaborating with Magazzino's staff to complete her community-based learning project on the Arte Povera movement.

Since March 2020, Mia Garofalo 鈥�23 and Catherine Illescas-Duque 鈥�23 have been completing valuable research on the use of conversational-user interfaces in assisting language learners in the medical field.

Mark Bissell 鈥�22 was shocked. Even after being one of seven Marist College fashion students to be honored nationally as a general selection to the 2022 Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) competition, he says what came next floored him.

On Wednesday, December 8, senior honors students from across the College community gathered to present their semester-long research projects in the Fall 2021 Honors Thesis Exhibit.

Through Marist鈥檚 Center for Civic Engagement and Leadership, Jessica Hawkins 鈥�22 has donated hundreds of pounds of fresh produce from the Marist Community Garden, and is working to ensure the garden continues to give back.

Ian Shultis 鈥�14/鈥�21, completed his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training and proceeded to work toward his doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marist. Ian and his classmates will be the second graduating class in the history of the Marist Doctor of Physical Therapy program this December.

Focused on helping a local business in need, Jacob Ruthazer 鈥�21, with the help of Dr. Helen Rothberg, gathered students across Marist to help a business impacted by COVID-19.
