The DPT Program is located in the Science and Allied Health building on the main campus.  This building is located on the east campus, just north of the campus walkway linking the east and west sides of campus.

This building cost $33 million and established a home for the DPT Program, as well as the School of Science鈥檚 existing programs in Physician Assistant Studies, Athletic Training, and Medical Technology.  In addition, the building contains all laboratories for our Department of Biology.

This four-story building has approximately 58,000 square feet, of which the DPT program occupies over 8,200 square feet.  The DPT program space includes a gross anatomy laboratory, a PT skills laboratory, a research laboratory, and a technologically advanced clinical simulation suite with a twin trauma bay and five traditional exam rooms. The assigned space also contains classrooms, faculty and support offices, a student lounge, and a conference room, with the remaining space allocated for study areas. 

The simulation suite incorporates the use of both standardized patients and high-tech manikins.  Students use the lab for basic instruction and patient interaction, history taking and physical therapy exam skills, diagnosis, and documentation.  Technology supports student learning by digitally capturing data, both voice and video.  Students have access to this data when appropriate for self-evaluation. Faculty are able to access data to assist in both formative and summative evaluations of the student.
